Description & Press Reviews:
This is a Champagne made by Philippe Seconde of the renowned Champagne House Barnaut. It's a beautiful Champagne and is suitable for all occasions, from 'tea time' to dawn. It can be served as an aperitif or can accompany Grilled Fish and even Poultry Dishes in Sauce. A lovely, almost strawberry in colour Rose, with plenty of fine, lively bubbles. On the nose its full of fruit and berries and in the mouth its becomes a full bodied fruity almost 'Kir Royale' taste with the dryness of the Pinot Noir lingering through.
The Daily Mail: Think Champers, and you think the big name brands that racing drivers spray over each other. But one of the key benefits of visiting the Champagne region is to get out and about and see the smaller producers whose bubbly is often as good - and considerably cheaper.
There are dozens, not least Edmond BARNAUT in the splendidly named village of BOUZY, east of Epernay.
