Description
Chateau Lamothe Vincent Rosé is made by the Vincent family who have been making award winning wines since 1873. The very name of the family has produced a few comments. The name of the patron saint of vine growers and wine makers is Saint Vincent. Lamothe Vincent is one of the 3 best Bordeaux Rosés in 2006 TOP VINS, silver medal winner both at the Challenge International du Vin 2006 and Concours des Vins d'Aquitaine 2006.
The Vincent family motto is “the quest of expression” and their respect and love of the soil and its vines shines out in the wines they produce. Organic methods are used in the vineyard and the family exercise a balanced ecological approach. The 80 hectare Château Lamothe Vincent estate lies between Montignac and Castelvieil in the Entre Deux Mers and is surrounded by little Medieval villages, Romanesque churches, ancient bastides (walled towns) and fortified windmills. Lamothe Vincent Rosé is a fabulous dry, deep, dark pomegranate pink and is bursting with the flavours of ripe red currant, red gooseberries, raspberry, crushed strawberry and citrus. It is silky smooth, well rounded, deep and has a lovely long finish.
This wine is ideal for sipping on a summer's evening or drinking with Asian cuisine as well as chicken, turkey, pork and tuna, salmon and seafood. It is a great match with sushi and Jamaican dishes.
