Superb value wine! Smooth with a good structure and excellent length. Strong cheese dishes and a variety of my vegetarian dishes go exceedingly well with it. Very nice!

Description
Wine Style: Full Bodied Red

This is a superb Bordeaux Superieur and hails from vines belonging to the Chaigne family who have been wine makers for several generations and whose estates cover Domaine de Ricaud and Chateau Ballan Larquette. Chateau Peynaud lies in St Laurent du Bois in the Entre Deux Mers, named for Saint Lawrence - one of the Patron Saints of Vine Growers and Wine Making. Peynaud is starting to be recognised as one of the most reliable wines in the Bordeaux Superieur appellation and is greatly in demand because of its price/quality ratio.

Chateau Peynaud is a dark crimson, fruity claret in a classic style with notes of cigar box spice, cassis, plum, red fruits and smoke. It is a medium bodied, rich and complex wine and can age for up to 10 years.

This wine will accompany all red meats, furred and feathered game, strong cheeses and nut based dishes as well as Indian vegetarian cuisine.
