Teyssier is a super wine. I love the clean dark fruit which shows real length followed by soft tannins; extremely well balanced. The Cabernet Franc adds some real interest. This is a veritable bargain at under £10 per bottle. Very good value.

Had this wine as part of a mixed case. If the others are as nice as this one I will be buying from you on a regular basis

A great wine for under a tenner! Good quality at a sensible price . . . Bordeaux-Undiscovered is brilliant!

I have paid a lot more for far worse but thought the Chateau Teyssier I ordered represented great value for money and I have really enjoyed every bottle

Every wine I have bought from BU I have enjoyed but I was very impressed with your Chateau Teyssier considering that it is so young a wine.

Description
Wine Style: Medium Bodied Red

Chateau Teyssier in Blasimon is one of three wines made by the Moysson-Le Collen family    named for the hamlets around the chateau:  Teyssier, Bédat and Bel Air.  This is an ancient estate whose origins go back to the 11th  and 12th  centuries. In the Middle Ages monks began to plant their vines here and for a long time it was also the meeting place for hunting, used by the Counts of Rudel, lords of Rauzan.  Blasimon is an old walled Bastide town with a Benedictine Abbey nearby and is renowned for its fortified water mills as well as ecclesiastical past.

Teyssier has a deep ruby red colour and has great aromatic richness in which the blackcurrant notes stand out.  This wine is aged in Limousin oak barrels for 12 months and has notes of oak and vanilla as well as raspberry and liquorice.  It is ample and well rounded in the mouth with wonderfully mellow tannins. In the finish it demonstrates suppleness and good length.  Teyssier is a good pairing with pheasant, guinea fowl, Peking duck and chicken as well as tomato based dishes such as spaghetti bolognese and cured meats like salami.
