Chateau Les Reuilles is a real discovery.  This lovely wine is made by Patrick Todesco, a third generation wine maker from his award winning estate in Savignac de Duras on the farthest edge of the Entre Deux Mers.  This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is a Bordeaux White and this little corner of the world benefits from slightly hotter, dryer weather.  The Romans planted vines in the limestone based chalky/clay soils here and the remains of a villa lie near the commune (which takes its name from the Roman Sabinius).

Les Reuilles Bordeaux Sauvignon is a crisp, clean, fresh and aromatic wine with a lingering finish.  It has flavours of green apple, gooseberry, acacia flowers, lemon peel and lychee.  Although there is a tiny hint of sweetness this is a bone dry, clear, green-hued wine with a good structure.

This wine will pair very well with fish and shell fish (steamed clams, mussels and langoustines), most appetizers and salads as well as Thai and Cantonese cuisine.
